It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our adored Edna Lazo Martinete, who left us April 1st, 2025, at the age of 78.
Edna was born in Bangued, Abra, Philippines, where she lived until she courageously immigrated to the United States. She joined relatives in Watsonville and worked in the local agricultural and cannery industry. She enjoyed cooking, watching sports, and connecting with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Antonio, her two children, Albert and Anne, her siblings, Cita, Elsie, and Bong. She also leaves behind her loving cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as grandnieces and grandnephews, whom she deeply cared for. She was preceded in death by her siblings Tonit, Vincent, Zusing, her father Santos, and mother Bening.
There will be a service held at Mehl's Colonial Chapel on Saturday, April 12th, 2025. Viewing begins at 5pm, followed by a recitation of the rosary beginning at 7pm.
