Eduviges "Vicky" Garza Concha, age 83, of Temple went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital. She was born on August 16, 1941, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to her parents Celso Garza and Rosario Garcia Leal.
Vicky was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a homemaker who had a beautiful soul and would help anyone in need. She devoted her time to raising her grandchildren. She was an excellent hostess and cook. She was a passionate gardener, and you would most likely find her outside tending to her flowers. Her favorite thing to do was to have people over at her home for a nice long chat. She cared deeply for her family and friends. She was a member of Our Lady de Guadalupe Church. She was an active Cursillista who enjoyed serving the church.
Vicky was preceded in death by her daughter Consuelo Concha, husband Gregorio Concha, brother Apolinar Garza, brother David Garza, brother Andres Garza, and sister Luz Hernandez.
Vicky leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Nora Cook, Esperanza Lopez and husband Bobby, grandchildren: Ricardo Rodriguez, Bobby Lopez, Bradley Cook, Gregory Cook, Sophia Lopez, sisters Elena Rodriguez, Graciela Ramos, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Friday, January 31, 2025, with Father Zack Rodriguez officiating. Following the mass, Vicky will be buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger. The family will be accepting visitors at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 5 o'clock p.m. to 8 o'clock p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7 o'clock p.m. by Deacon Margarito Alvarado.
Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with these arrangements.
