Rev. Edward Emerson Dozer, age 86, of Londonderry, left this earth on Monday, June 19, 2023, to go spend the rest of eternity with his loving wife, Betty.
Ed was born March 14, 1937. He was one of nine children born to Harley and Opal (Waldron) Dozer.
On September 21, 1958, he married the love of his life, Betty (Park) Dozer.
Surviving are sons, Kirk E. (Marcy) Dozer and Michael Dozer; grandchildren, Jami (Keith) Kness, Angela (Chad) Coil, Jessica (Sean) Dozer and Nicholas (Dina) Dozer; great grandchildren, Aaron (Katie) Wilson, Ethan (Kyrstan) Wilson, Cole McGhee, Jaydan Wachovec, Aryanna Dozer, Wesley Roberts and Luke Dozer, and several step great grandkids; special friend, Marge Ward. He is survived by his twin sister, Edna Karst and his youngest sister, Thelma Ponko. He was predeceased by daughter-in-law, Becky and siblings, Charles, Madge, Ruth, Grace, Clarence and Clem.
Ed loved serving the Lord. He preached at several churches in the Scioto Valley area. He was a generous man and never turned anyone away in need.
Ed retired from Chilpaco/Mead after 38 years of service. His hobbies included woodworking, telling stories and writing poems.
A graveside service will be held 12 noon, Monday June 26, 2023 in Londonderry Cemetery with Reverend Jim McFadden and Pastor Michelin Bent officiating. Friends and family may call from 2 – 6 p.m. on Sunday at the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
