Edward Grafmuller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Logan Funeral Home, Inc. - Exton on Dec. 15, 2025.
Edward William Grafmuller passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, in Media, PA. Born June 24, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York to Carl and Caroline (nee Kohler) Grafmuller, Ed's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, commitment, and service.

Ed and his older brother grew up in Queens, NY. Ed graduated from Grover Cleveland High School and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Queens College. Following graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Ann (nee Russo) on May 24,1952. In November of that same year, he was drafted into the army and served active duty patrolling the DMZ in South Korea for 14 months.

Upon his return to civilian life, Ed resumed his career at International General Electric in Manhattan where he enjoyed a 39-year career. His work gave him the opportunity to travel the world, including multiple countries in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, and Africa. Ed's years at IGE were marked by a steadfast work ethic and genuine care for the customers he served. He retired in 1991, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and integrity.

Ed's marriage to his beloved wife, Ruth, was the beginning of a loving partnership that would last for over seven decades. Together, they raised three children: David, Karen, and Paul, six grandchildren: Leanne, Carl, Bryan, Clara-Ann, Caroline, and Brent, as well as four great-grandchildren.

A huge source of pleasure was visiting the beautiful beaches and golf courses of Long Island, NY, as Ed and his Ruth were both avid golfers and gardeners.

Ed's story is one of a life well-lived, marked by devotion to his family, his country, and the joys of life's everyday moments. He will be missed deeply, but the legacy of his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 10-10:45 AM at SS. Philip and James Parish 723 E. Lincoln Hwy., Exton, PA 19341, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
