Edward "Eddie" Arnold Killmer, age 76, of
Yukon, OK left this earthly life on Monday, November 17, 2025 at home after a 2 ½ year battle with lung cancer.
Eddie was born August 7, 1949, in Blanchard, Oklahoma to Arnold Killmer and Laura Mae Bowser Killmer. He was the second of their four children and spent his childhood between Oklahoma and California. He attended Blanchard High School and later US Grant High School in Oklahoma City.
Eddie worked a variety of jobs after high school and spent several years working for Joe Esco Tire in Oklahoma City alongside his older brother, Ronald Killmer. It was at Joe Esco Tire where he met his future wife, Eileen (Duggan) Killmer. They married in July 1987 in Las Vegas, NV, and celebrated 38 years of marriage this past July.
In October 1981 Eddie was persuaded by his good friends Roy Bridges and Gary "Moose" Pitson to join the elevator construction industry. He was a proud member of the National Elevator Industry Union for almost 30 years, retiring in July 2011.
One of Eddie's happiest moments came in February 1990 when his daughter Amber was born. They shared a bond like no other and to say she was a "daddy's girl" was an understatement. He was so proud of her and her accomplishments throughout her life and was overjoyed when the grandkids came along.
Eddie loved golfing with his friends Jerry Minter and Moose and almost every Sunday for over 30 years they played golf somewhere in the Oklahoma City area. Eddie was the self-appointed scheduler and reserved their tee times for the next week as soon as the courses would allow. He was excited when Amber married Trevor Earls in 2015 as Trevor shared his love of golf. They joined the Surrey Hills Golf Club and Eddie gained a whole new group of golfing buddies.
Even after Eddie's cancer diagnosis in 2023 when he didn't feel up to golfing, he would ride around in his golf cart visiting with his friends. These friendships helped him through some of his toughest treatments and his family is grateful to all who texted and called to check on him.
Although Eddie didn't consider himself a religious man, he loved the Lord and believed in eternal life.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Laura Mae (Killmer) Stapp and Arnold Killmer as well as his older brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Killmer, mother-in-law Paula Rhodes and great nephew Caleb McBride.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Eileen Killmer; daughters Amber Earls (Trevor) of Yukon and Lisa Killmer Callahan (Bill) of Midwest City; Stepdaughter Kimberly Niedfelt (Chris) of Wamego, KS; father-in-law Danny Duggan of McPherson, KS; grandchildren: Payden Downey, MacKenzie Muir, Lance Killmer (Leah), Piper Earls, Hudson Earls, Jordan Wherry, Paydon Wherry, Shelby Wherry; sisters, Barbara Carlton of Oklahoma City and Deborah Killmer-Hickman (David) of Bella Vista, AR; brothers-in-law, Jim Duggan (Doni) of Cordell, OK, and John Duggan (Deborah) of Chickasha, OK; sisters-in-law, Elaine Carlson (Bruce) of FL, and Christine Duggan of KS, as well as a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
