Edward L. Myers, Jr. passed away on March 27, 2025.
Born in Penn Wynne, PA and raised in Lower Merion, PA; Mr. Myers relocated to Hamilton NJ 38 years ago. He attended Harriton High School and the Pennsylvania State University. Edward was a self-employed Certified Real Estate Appraiser and Real Estate Agent.
As a youth, Ed raced Soap Box Derby with his sister, Janine, as a participant in the International Soap Box Derby based in Akron, OH. Ed still holds the fastest time on the All-American track in Akron from a designated starting point utilized during his racing days.
Ed, Nancy, and Eddie loved life together as a family. They could be found attending any number of concerts, sporting events or spending time at their shore home. Cherished memories will be their years of boating on the east coast, traveling from Block Island, to Newport, RI to Norfolk, VA. They looked forward to attending the Philadelphia Phillies home opener every year, both as a couple, and later with Eddie; a family tradition they adored. Ed's tailgate parties were legendary, and his group of close friends and family made Philadelphia Eagles games a height of the year's events. Favorite concerts attended were Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Dave Matthews Band and Jimmy Buffett. Ed and Nancy delighted in taking their son to Walt Disney World and enjoying cruises on Disney Cruise Line. Alaska and the Western Caribbean were their most memorable journeys. Edward was a loving husband and proud father who thrived on seeing his family fulfill their dreams and succeed.
Edward is survived by his devoted wife of over 25 years, Nancy L. Rudolph-Myers and their incredible son, Edward T. Myers. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara L. Myers, and beloved sister, Janine M. Myers-Festa (Rob).
A Celebration of Life will take place at a time and date convenient to the family. Cremation services were held privately.
Memorial donations may be made in Ed's name to The International Soap Box Derby, 1000 George Washington Blvd., Akron OH 44312.
