Edward Vincent "Ed" Naughton, 54, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 8, 1970, in Brockton, Massachusetts, to Paul Naughton and the late Martha Judge, Ed was a proud graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1988. From a young age, he was known for his infectious humor and spirited nature-qualities that remained a core part of him throughout his life.
In 1993, Ed met the love of his life, Melissa, and their bond became a beautiful foundation for their family. He was a devoted husband and father to their two children, Hannah and Michael, as well as a loving stepfather to Jessica Eagan and Leah Hurley.
Ed touched the lives of many with his warmth, humor, and a unique ability to bring people together. For over 25 years, he thrived in his career at EMC/Dell, where his colleagues often found him to be the first to lend a hand-whether fixing a problem they didn't even know they had or brightening their day with a joke. His generosity extended to friends, neighbors, and family alike. Ed cherished family vacations, especially to Disney, and found great joy in cooking for those he loved. He was also a devoted animal lover.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Melissa; his children, Hannah Naughton and Michael Naughton; his stepchildren, Jessica Eagan (Kevin) and Leah Hurley (Eddie); and his cherished grandchildren, Aiyanna Eagan, Cody, Curtis, and Cooper Hurley. He is also survived by his father, Paul Naughton, and stepmother, Maggie; his siblings, Ann-Marie Casey (Bob Silvia), Michael Naughton (Jenny), Anthony DiLallo (Meaghan), and Marie Powers (Dave); and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Martha Judge, and his sister, Colleen Norton (Kevin).
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A memorial service celebrating Ed's life will follow at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed's memory to the MSPCA. Contributions can be sent to MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130, or made online at www.mspca.org
