Edward Rodenbucher, Sr. passed away Wednesday evening, February 12, 2025 at his home in Randolph, OH at the age of 86.
He was born on November 21, 1938, in Akron, Ohio to John & Julianna (Schlosser) Rodenbucher. He grew up in Rootstown, OH graduating from Rootstown High School in 1957. After 6 months in the US Army, he started his career as a Union Carpenter which he continued with until retirement. He married Gloria Jean Kelley on June 2, 1962 and raised 6 sons. A devout Catholic, he would often recite the rosary and kept all of those he knew and loved in his daily prayers.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria (of 60 years), parents, siblings Rita Rodenbucher, Julia (Rodenbucher) Madachy, Raymond Rodenbucher, Joseph Rodenbucher and Mary Lou (Rodenbucher) Turcich. He is survived by his 6 son's Edward, Jr. (Carla), Paul (Debbie), Rich (Tina), Jeff, Roger, and Keith (Mary). 14 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchilden, Sister-in-law's Shirley Rodenbucher, Pam Rodenbucher, Dolores (Robert) Winkler and Kathleen Cruise.
Edward's family will receive family and friends at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home (547 Canton Rd., Ellet, OH) from 4-7 pm on February 20, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial will be performed by Father Kevin Bertleff, February 21, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Randolph, OH. Edward will be laid to rest immediately after Mass at St. Joseph's Cemetary. A celebration of life luncheon will be served afterwards.
