Geraldine E. Hepler, 87, of Rootstown, went to be with her Lord on August 21, 2024, following an illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Erma Grant, her brother Donald and sister-in-law Bobbi. She is survived by her children, daughter Judith (Mont) Miller, and son Timothy (Jodi) Hepler, grandchildren Aubrie (Lee) Gangle, Aaron Hepler, Cathryn (Cliff) Ochsenbine, and Dan (Amanda) Hepler, and great-grandchild Alice Joy. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her next great-grandchild, Marla Grace. Geraldine was born in Ravenna and lived in Rootstown for most of her life, graduating with the Rootstown Class of 1955. She was a proud Rootstown Local Schools bus driver for over thirty years prior to her retirement. Geraldine loved having her grandchildren and great grandchild around as much as possible and hosting family dinners. She was an avid reader of books, enjoyed watching hummingbirds from her porch swing and mowing her large yard, and always made time to help and give back to others. She regularly gave to the Humane Society and ASPCA, the Wounded Warrior Project, and the Red Cross. Geraldine was a member of First Congregational Church of Rootstown. Cremation has taken place per Geraldine's request. Family and Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 14th at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown beginning with Fellowship at 10am, service at 11am, and followed by lunch. Condolences and memories of Geraldine may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
