To Ellie's family and loved ones, I am incredibly sorry for you loss. I only knew Ellie for about a year, as one of my all time favorite Starbucks staff. She was an amazingly kind soul and I am truly saddened by her passing. Just seeing her beautiful face always brightened my day. I guess it's true that only the good die young. Ellie, you are and always will be missed. Lori

My deepest condolences to the unwavering support of Ellie's wife, Olya and her Air Force family who understood the value and importance of supporting every Airman in everything they did. It was amazing to see Ellie live as her authentic self and spread her wings to soar to new heights in her Air Force career. Over the three years that I was in command of the operations group, in which she served at Youngstown ARS, I saw phenomenal growth in her professionalism. She was one of the top intel Airmen who was willing to go the extra mile to accomplish the mission. Her ideas, lived experience, and expertise is a true testament to what diversity can do to make an organization stronger. The Air Force is stronger for her service, but will deeply miss her. I will miss the times I was able to sit and talk with her about her future goals and dreams. She was always honest with her feelings and emotions. I was so very proud of who she had become and that she could be her authentic self and an inspiration to others. It was awesome to see the support Ellie received from her friends and Air Force family. It was clear she felt part of something much bigger than herself. Ellie--Thank you for your selfless and dedicated service to your country. I will never forget!
