Edwin Edsel Farley

Edwin (Ed) Farley, age 86, died Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Our family lost a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was born in Asher, Oklahoma to Joe and Jessie Farley. He graduated from Asher High School in the year of 1954. After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in Japan for 4 years. On May 14, 1958, Ed married the love of his life, Joy Ann O Bright. They were married for 63 years before her passing 6 months ago. They had one daughter, Debera Ann.
Ed attended OCU college for 2 years. He then started his career as a dispatcher with OG&E. He retired after 35 years in 1994. Ed's hobby was going to the gym. He loved to visit with friends and made many while exercising. He also loved animals. He has saved many strays and would never let one go hungry.
Ed was a good father and the best grandfather and great-grandfather. He was so proud of his family and talked about them to anyone that would listen.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Joy Ann; two sisters, Zelpha Dean Farley and Brenda Erana Williams. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie and son in law, Craig; granddaughter, Heather and husband David; grandson, Heath and wife Liz; great-grandsons, Kooper, Asher and Holt; great-granddaughters, Avery, Addie Ann, Madison and Swayze; brother, Joe L. Farley Jr. and wife Judy; and two nephews and two nieces.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 20 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Mercer-Adams, Bethany, Oklahoma with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma at 3:00pm. Casual dress.
