Eileen C. (Mina) Tisdale, 73 of Leominster passed peacefully at home on November 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, following a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
She fought the disease valiantly and bravely, never complaining, and always grateful for another day of life, and the opportunity to be with family and friends. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 52 years, Richard T. Tisdale, who passed away this past January.
She was born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Denny C Mina, and Sophie (Guri) Mina. She is also predeceased by her brother Christy Mina. Eileen is survived by her devoted son, Derek Tisdale; her step-daughter, Heidi Dagle; three step-grandchildren, and three step-greatgrandchildren; and her loving sister, Beverly Bennett. She also leaves her sisters-in-law, Janice Horgan, Judy McNamara, and a brother-in-law David Tisdale, and many nephews.
Eileen graduated from David Hale Fanning High School in Worcester, and was a hairdresser for many years, she then worked at J.C. Penny for 22 years retiring in 2020.
The family wishes to thank her dear friends and family for their care and love, and always being there for Eileen, especially during her final days. Heartfelt thanks also go out to the nurses and medical staff, especially, Dr. Kathryn Edmiston at the UMass Memorial Campus, ACC building for the loving and compassionate care provided to Eileen thru the many years.
Friends and loved ones are invited to visit Eileen’s family on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
Also a calling hour on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St., Worcester, from 10:00 - 11:00 am, prior to the funeral. Eileen’s funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the church.
Her burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances can be made in Eileen’s name to St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA01609.
Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg is directing arrangements.
