Elaine M. Caron

Elaine M. (Francoeur) Caron, 87, died November 20, 2023 at Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. X. Caron. She was born in Salem to the late John and Blanche (Drouin) Francoeur. She graduated from St. James Church School in Salem and Salem High School.
She worked at Salem State until retirement and in retirement, worked at Senior Care Inc. for several years. She sang for many years in the St. John the Evangelist Choir, square danced with the Riverside Squares in Danvers and was a long-time member of the Beverly Franco-American Club. She was also a volunteer at Bootstraps in Beverly.
Above all mom enjoyed family, being outdoors and staying in motion. Camping with family, gardening with the grandchildren, exploring new places, dancing anytime, anywhere with anyone to any style music, she enjoyed staying active.
She is survived by three sons, Lawrence Caron and his wife Janet of Manchester, NH, David Caron and his wife Linda of Virginia, James Caron and his wife Karen of Beverly; one daughter, Annette Pelletier and her husband Gary of Beverly; 10 grandchildren, Douglas, Christopher, Scott, Nichole, Sierra, Hunter, Acadia, Bryce, Denali and Renee; five great grandchildren, Aurora, Anastasia, Abigail, Jaxon, Oban and another little one on the way. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mona Rhone, and Gloria Demakis.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch St, Beverly on Tuesday, November 28, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Monday, November 27, from 4 pm to 7 pm.
