Elaine Stanwood

Elaine Stanwood, 87, passed away October 7, 2025. She was born August 19, 1938 in Garland, Utah to Afton and Leona Kay Adams. She attended Weber College. Elaine worked as a secretary in the U.S. State Department, where she worked and traveled for many years. While working for the state department, she met and married Eldred Stanwood.

Elaine had a deep interest in art and anything Oriental. She was a talented organist and play many songs by ear. She greatly enjoyed traveling and seeing the wonders of the world.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and all her siblings, Shirley, Devere, Lois, Marilyn and Delon.

A viewing for Elaine will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard. A short graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at the Fielding Cemetery, 17175 North 4400 West, Fielding, Utah.
