Janeal Dalton Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 6, 2025.
Janeal Jones Dalton was born on January 25, 1954, in Malad City, ID, USA. She passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, at Seasons Assisted Living in Farr West, Utah. Her life was a testament to her faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she left a legacy of love and service that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Janeal was known for her kindness, compassion, and willingness to serve others. Janeal endured decades of health issues with patience and courage. Janeal accepted and served in numerous church callings.

Janeal was a devoted wife and an exceptional mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Janeal married Corey Dalton on March 23, 1973. Janeal was truly the best eternal companion to Corey. Corey and Janeal were blessed with five children, four girls and one son: Tara, Maurie (Bruce), Leslie (Dan), Justin (Shauna) and Lori (Brian). Janeal had 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and she was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her third great-grandchild. Her passion for her family was reflected in the traditions she created, like singing a medley of happy birthday songs for her family members on their birthdays and hosting cousins' sleepovers. She also found joy in quilting, cooking, sewing, and crafting.

Janeal and Corey lived in many different areas in Utah, making special friendships wherever they went. Janeal had a solid testimony of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon states, "And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things." (Moroni 7:45). This verse encapsulates Janeal's life, as she lived a life of charity, love, and endurance.

Janeal was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ella Faye Jones. Her spirit lives on in her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will continue to remember and celebrate her life. We invite you to share your memories of Janeal and upload photos to her memorial page. Your stories and pictures will help keep her memory alive and provide comfort to all who loved her.

The family extends a special thank you to all of the wonderful people at Seasons Assisted Living for the loving care they gave to Janeal.
