Elijah Gene Ayers, age 23 of Powder Springs, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025. Elijah will be remembered for his love of God, passion and care for everyone he met, those beautiful dimples, and a smile that lit up every room he entered. He enjoyed all things outdoors-golf, fishing, camping, hunting, and his favorite team the Atlanta Falcons.

Elijah's love for music began early, but when he was allowed to sit in the stands with the Hiram High School Band, he knew he loved band! He participated in Spirit of America Drum and Bugle Corps, Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps, Atlanta Quest, and Q2. When he no longer competed, he began to instruct and teach others in the love of music, most recently helping create the band Unlovely and participated playing the bass.

Elijah is preceded in death by his mother Lisa Ayers, and grandfathers Lane Ayers and Phillip Burruss. He is survived by his father Victor Ayers; grandmother Carolyn Ayers; grandmother and step-grandfather Nancy and Bill Batson; and step-grandmother Sharon Burruss.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta (1130 Whitlock Ave, NW) from 2 PM until 6 PM.

The family would like those attending to consider this a casual event and ask that you please feel free to wear your favorite sports jersey, marching band shirts, or Corp T- shirts.
