Mrs. Libby Cassetty, age 77, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 5:48 AM at The Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in Stevenson Church Cemetery in Simpson County, KY. 

Libby was born on January 6, 1947 in Franklin, KY to the late Edgar “Pete” Temple and the late Blanche Gant Temple. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Cassetty.

She is survived by 2 children, Rick Byrum (Ann) of Ridgeway, SC and Robbie Chambers (Brian) of Franklin, KY; 7 grandchildren, Richard Dennis Byrum, Quintin Byrum, Logan Byrum, Andrew Chambers, Taylor Chambers (Amy), Janna Prock (Andrew) and Vaughan Chambers; 6 great-grandchildren, Matthew Bean, Jacob Bean, Bryleigh Prock, John Walker Shanklin, Maggie Chambers and Carter Chambers; a brother, Tommy Temple (Faye) of Franklin, KY; a niece, Sabrina Bowen (Ben) of Franklin, KY; and 2 great-nieces, Brooke Bowen and Becca Bowen.

Libby was a member of LifePoint Church. She was a graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School. Libby was retired from the Franklin-Simpson Ambulance Service. She was an EMT.
