Elizabeth S. Newswanger, 92, of Ephrata, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Lincoln Christian Home.
She was born in Eden to the late David S. and Elizabeth (Heller) Seibel and was the wife of the late Adam H. Newswanger, who passed away in 2021. They were married on June 27, 1954.
Elizabeth was a member of Lime Rock Mennonite Church. She worked at Minnich's Bakery for many years.
She is survived by three children, Michael Newswanger, companion of Rose of Ephrata, Sue Ann, wife of Darryl Martin of Denver, Jay, husband of Kelly J. (Walters) Newswanger of Lititz; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Emma (Huber) Seibel, Marianna Newswanger, and Pauline Newswanger.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was proceeded in death by seven brothers, Frank, Warren, David, Mervin, Leonard, Norman, Harvey Siebel; four sisters, Vera, Anna, Edna, and Mary.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 2 to 3 PM, at Lincoln Christian Home, 1307 Apple Street, Ephrata. An additional viewing will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM, at Midway Mennonite Reception Center, 210 E. Lexington Road, Lititz. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 9:30 AM, at Lime Rock Mennonite Church, 99 Penn Valley Road, Lititz, with Bishop Quinton Wenger officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
