Ella Jean Troutman, 92, of Mt. Washington passed away April 24, 2025 surrounded by her sons. She was the former Ella Jean Bleemel and a native of Mt. Washington. She retired from Bullitt County Public Schools having served as cafeteria manager for the Mt. Washington Middle School. Ella Jean was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan, she loved flowers and cooking but most of all supporting her sons and grandchildren in all their sports and activities.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Troutman ; parents, Ina Fern and Frank Bleemel ; former husband, Mac Troutman; brothers, Hill and Royce Bleemel.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Joe Troutman (Debbie), Jerry Troutman, Jimmy Troutman, Tommy Troutman (April) and Ricky Troutman (Angela); sister, Georgia Shelburne (Guy) ; brothers, Eddie Bleemel (Janice), Bub Bleemel and Tony Bleemel (Jane) ; grandchildren, Aaron Troutman (Kathleen), Ashley Lemur (Jeff), Jalin Troutman, Justin Troutman (Carlye), Trevor Troutman (Amanda), Ryan Troutman (Courtney), Robert Troutman (Michelle), Rusty Troutman (Kayla), Rhett Troutman, Jamie Foster. Chase Troutman, Jade Troutman, Ezra Troutman (Eliza) and Jackson Perry; 17 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday April 29, 2025 at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
