Ellis Armand Mitchell passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024, following a three-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
A life-long resident of Picayune, he was a graduate of Picayune Memorial High School. Ellis went on to attend the University of New Orleans for one year, before returning home to Picayune.
He is survived by four siblings, Carl T. "Tommy" Mitchell, Patti Mitchell Todd, his twin Glenn A. Mitchell, and Bryan H. Mitchell; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Estes "Mitch" Mitchell and Doris Naquin Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Ellis A. and Velma S. Mitchell; maternal grandparents, Antoine and Antoinette Naquin; and sister, Karen Sue Mitchell Davaine.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Old Palestine (Red Hill) Cemetery on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 1:00pm.
