Emily A. Wise

RICHMOND, IN– Emily A. Wise, age 79, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Ambassador Healthcare.
Born January 2, 1946, in Richmond, Indiana, to John W. and Stella E. Ebert Lantz, Emily lived in this community most of her life and was a 1964 graduate of Richmond High School. Following graduation, she became a dorm supervisor for the Indiana School for the Deaf, where she met her future husband, Randal Lee Wise. They were able to share 55 wonderful years of marriage. She later worked at Allied Commercial Printing and Hand-In-Hand Adult Day Care of Richmond. Emily was a member of Heritage Wings T2 Goldwing Club and the former Richmond Area Emmaus Community. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and volunteering at Reid Health. Emily attended LifeSpring Church.
Survivors include her husband, Randal Lee Wise; daughter, Kimberly (Marty) Hensley, of Abington, Indiana; son, Russell (Alesa) Wise of Corydon, Indiana; grandchildren, Jessica (Scott) Jawroski, Zachary (Haley) Wise, and Meagan Snyder (Alex Chancellor); great grandchildren, Cooper Jawroski and Lillian Jawroski, and Colton and Wyatt Wise; sisters-in-law, Karen Singer and Deborah Cardwell; brothers-in-law, Stephen (Barbara) Wise, Mitchell (Theresa) Wise, Bruce Wise and Troy (Donna) Wise; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, James and Ruby Wise; brother, J. P. Lantz; sisters-in-law, Evelene Lantz and Nedra Henning; and brother-in-law, Dewayne Cardwell.
Visitation for Emily A. Wise will be from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Mathews officiating. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery.
