With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eric P. Annunziata, 64, our cherished father, mentor, and friend, who peacefully departed from this world on July 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and his favorite music, in his Greenville, RI home. Eric was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Lombardi) Annunziata of 36 years at the time of her passing on April 13, 2023. He is survived by his two daughters and their spouses: Brittany and Tristen Annunziata and Erica (Annunziata) and Samuel Black, all of Greenville, RI. Eric was also extremely proud and looking forward to welcoming his first two grandchildren in the upcoming months, as both of his daughters are expecting their first child.
Born on April 17, 1960, in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Daniel and Rita (Capucci) Annunziata. Eric is also survived by his siblings: Mary Sue Scolaro, Daniel Annunziata, Nancy Eddy, and Steven Annunziata. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Additionally, Eric had a remarkable village of friends (family) who loved and cared for him endlessly throughout the years. Eric's love and dedication also extended to his loyal four-legged companions, Bentley and Zoe, who brought him comfort and joy until his final moments.
Eric worked in finance for Textron, Inc. and Dunkin' Corporation for many years. He decided to work in the medical field at Day Kimball Hospital before his early retirement due to his diagnosis of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). Throughout the remainder of his life, he never took a day for granted and found joy in everything he did.
Eric led a life filled with passion and purpose. His insatiable zest for life and boundless generosity touched the lives of everyone he crossed paths with. Whether through his infectious laughter, comforting presence, or innate ability to remember everyone's name, he made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
A devoted husband, father, and future grandfather, Eric leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire us all. His memory will forever remain etched in our hearts, as we carry forward the values and lessons he instilled in us. He will be remembered not only for his remarkable character, but also for his enduring legacy of love, faith, compassion, incredible sense of humor, deep love for music, and incredible appetite.
As we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, we find peace in the knowledge that his spirit will forever guide and watch over us. His tired body can now rest, and his soul can be reunited with the love of his life. As he would say to his girls every night, "Goodnight. God Bless. I love you. I pray you have a great day tomorrow."
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 10 am in St. Philip Parish, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI. Burial will follow at Forest Chapel Cemetery, Barrington, RI at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to HopeHealth Hospice.

Ricky was always full of fun, laughing and making others laugh. His mischievous smile matched the devilish twinkle in his eyes, and ensured zaniness would soon follow. Such a sweet guy, one I am glad to have known. Condolences to all who love him.

Eric was a wonderful human being who myself and my family adored. The news of his passing was heartbreaking. His warmth, kindness and personality shined so bright you couldn´t help but love him. We have been neighbors for 13 years and in that time we have had the privilege of getting to know him and his incredible family. We will sorely miss him and the excitement my young son would have when he saw him walking around the block. He would jump up and yell "Eric" then run outside to give him a hug. Thank you for those memories Eric. He and his wife are together once again and heaven now has two of the most beautiful souls. Rest in Peace.
