Hilda (Mazzacane) Annunziata, 91, of North Haven, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Thursday - February 26, 2015 at the CT Hospice, Branford. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Annunziata, and her brother, Raymond Mazzacane. She leaves behind her sister, Enes Festa of Hamden, her two children Gina Cretella of North Haven, and Richard (Margaret Burch) Annunziata of Sarasota, Florida, as well as grandchildren Jay (Jackie Cotier) Cretella of North Haven, and Keith (Laura) Cretella of North Haven, and many devoted nieces and nephews. Hilda was born in New Haven on March 20, 1923; daughter of the late Richard and Aurelia Mazzacane, she was a long-time resident of Hamden and North Haven, and worked for many years at Eastern Industries in Hamden. She most recently lived at Tuscan Villa in North Haven, where she will always be remembered for her quick wit and good nature, both of which she kept even in her final days.
In accordance with Hildas wishes, the following arrangements will be conducted; her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TX 38101-9929.
