Survivors include his mother, Wilma Jean, stepfather, Gary Ward, one son, Gunner Carty of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Jamie (Kelly) Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister, Donna Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, one niece, Kristin Howard, two nephews, Cody (Amber) Daniels, Sage Gause, and one great niece, Oaklynn Daniels.
In addition to his father, Eric is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Chester and Helen Carty, maternal grandparents, Ovie Francis and Dessie Howard Bailey, and step-grandfather, Buck Bailey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 02, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Neil Carty officiating. Burial will follow at the Rock Lick Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Tuesday, July 01, 2025 from 5:00 till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
