Eric Ortega, 39, of Ingleside Texas, passed away at home among loved ones on June 16, 2025, after a 2-year battle with cancer.
He was born in Tulare, California on November 22, 1985, to Veronica Ortega.Eric graduated in 2004 from Ingleside High School where he was known for his red Mustang and infectious smile. When he wasn't at school you could find him working at HEB where his friendly personality continued to shine through.
Eric later pursued a career in the communications industry working for Dish Network where he made a lasting impact on his co-workers and customers. Some of his favorite pastimes included spending time with his family, rooting on the Dallas Cowboys, watching movies, hunting, fishing, gambling, and traveling.
Eric's loyalty and generosity were unwavering. He was always willing to lend a hand or be a listening ear for anyone in need. His dedication and devotion to his family was unmatched, constantly demonstrating his love and commitment to each and every one of them.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Stella Garza, uncle Edward Ortega, and aunt Mary Ellen Ortega.
He is survived by his loving wife Stephanie Ortega and 3 children Aubree (13), Alexander (11) and Jacob (5), mother Veronica (Raymond Lopez II) Ortega of Ingleside TX, brother Raymond (Darriana) Lopez III of Ingleside TX, sister Summer Kimminau of Arizona, and sister Amber (Nathan) Ortiz of California.
Visitation will be from 10-2 pm Saturday June 21, 2025 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home with the Funeral service at 2 pm. Saturday with Rev. Patrick Higgins officiating.
