Erica Leigh Strable

Erica Leigh Strable age 46, beloved daughter of Donald and Suzanne Strable passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2024 in Gilbertsville, Pa. She was a long time Delaware County resident graduating from Garnet Valley High School, completing her bachelor's degree at Temple University and her doctoral studies at Scripps Institute in LaJolla, California. After several years doing medical research, she returned to the East Coast to work as a Research Scientist at Merck in Lansdale, Pa. Erica was a highly skilled crafter with special expertise in needlepoint.She loved to travel and visited Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. Erica was a life long cat lover. Erica is survived by her parents, Donald and Suzanne Strable as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her brother Brian Strable. Services for Erica will remain private. The family asks that friends and coworkers of Erica commorate her life in their own special manner. Any donations or memorials should be made to the charity of the donors choice.
