Ernest Terry Bryant (66) born in New Albany gained his wings and peacefully passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025 with his loving wife of 46 years by his side.
Together Terry and Wanda Kruer were blessed with three beautiful daughters and four wonderful grandchildren – all of which were his pride and joy. Children, Nikki Bryant-Wendelgast, Brittney Bryant, and Ashley (Adam) Sears. Grandchildren Katelynn Wendelgast, Hailey Wendelgast, Evann Wendelgast and Cody Sears.
In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends who will all miss him dearly.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents Ernest Denzil and Thelma “Imogene” Bryant along with his sister Janet Goodwin.
While he was a strong-willed person, he enjoyed life on his terms. “Bone”, as he was often referred as in his younger days, was a graduate of Floyd Central High School where he became lifelong friends to many who enjoyed him and loved him well, creating cherished memories along the way.
He loved posting pictures of garden goodies, snacks, favorite foods, travels, and his family to share with his many friends. In his early years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved sightseeing or driving to enjoy the scenery around him or the beautiful sky above him.
Terry was employed by Leedco Interiors for over 43 years as a General Superintendent encompassing multi-generations of the family business. He grew and aged with each generation mentoring them along the way.
With life too short he became the party planner for many fish fry’s and breakfast gatherings of the “ROMEO”s (Retired Old Men Eating Out). A name given to them lovingly by one of the many wives who would eventually be included in their group festivities.
The family invites you to gather and celebrate Terry’s life Saturday, Aug 2, 2025 at Hill City Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana from 10am to 12pm EDT. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 12pm.
