Ernest Lombardi, 66 of Toms River, NJ, son of Pat and Diana Lombardi, lost his battle with Brain Cancer on November 5, 2024, at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ.
Ernie was born in Newark, and later moved to Belleville and graduated Belleville High School in 1976. He had a love for music, so he started DJing at a small club in Nutley, called the Cafe Royale. He Decided to follow his passion for music and moved to Dallas, TX to DJ under the name of DJ Dusty. He was there for about 3 years and moved back to NJ and started DJing at various clubs in NJ including Joey Harrison's in Clifton and the famous Surf Club in Ortley Beach. He then moved on to Temptations in Seaside Heights. He also made numerous appearances at various clubs in NYC. He was also the Former National Director of Broadcasting at Legends of Vinyl Visual Radio. He made some appearances on the Crib Radio. Then he started his own internet music station on Mixcloud. His sets continuously voted #1. He was also voted into the Legends of Vinyl DJ Hall of Fame.
Ernie leaves behind his son, Ernest Anthony Lombardi, his father Pat Lombardi, his sister, Patricia Pellegrino, his brother Derek P. Lomardi and his wife Jeanne, and his sister, Diana Cicchino. He also leaves behind 2 nieces, Jenna and Kristan Lombardi and 2 nephews, Marco Cicchino and Derek Lombardi, Jr. He also leaves behind 1 great nephew, Cameron Cruz. He is predeceased by his mother, Diana Lombardi.
