Esterino "Mo" Molinari, Jr. Obituary
Esterino Emilio Molinari Jr., affectionately known as Mo to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2024, at the age of 89 in his home. Born on September 27, 1934, in Plainfield, New Jersey, Mo was a son of the late Esterino E. Molinari Sr. and Teresa (Lionetti) Molinari. He was a loving brother survived by his only sister Rose Mastroianni and predeceased by his four brothers: George, Frank, Charlie, and Santo.
His journey through life was shared with his beloved wife, Eileen (McCann) Molinari, with whom he celebrated over 60 years of marriage. Together, they built a family foundation of unconditional love and support. Mo was a devoted father to his children, Ann (Matthew) Pisani, Chris Molinari, and Tricia (John) Glodowski. His legacy continued to grow with his adored grandchildren, Nicholas, Micayla, Kellen, Michael, Sean, Shannon, Kieran, and Ryan, and he was blessed to meet his great-granddaughter, Emilia, who brought him immense joy.
Mo's commitment to education was evident in his academic achievements. He earned his undergraduate degree from Kean University and went on to receive his master's degree from The College of New Jersey. His passion for athletics led him to a fulfilling career as an Elementary Physical Education Teacher and Coach, where he inspired countless young minds. Mo's dedication to education extended into his role as an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey, where he guided students with wisdom and compassion.
After a rewarding career in education, Mo continued to impact his community through his entrepreneurial spirit. He successfully established a catering business and later channeled his interpersonal skills into a career as a realtor.
Mo's service to his country was a source of great pride. He honorably served in the U.S. Army, and his patriotism remained a significant part of his identity. He was an active member of his local veteran's organization in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
A man of faith, Mo was a faithful member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Bethlehem. His involvement in his community extended to the Italian American Club and his instrumental role in starting a sports club in North Plainfield, NJ. Mo's love for sports was unwavering; he was an avid fan of the Yankees, Celtics, and Giants, and his enthusiasm for his teams was infectious.
Those who knew Mo will remember him as a phenomenal cook who found joy in preparing meals for his family and friends. Cooking was more than a hobby for Mo; it was a way to express his love and bring people together.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 24, 2024 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 450 E.
