Etta Lee Shaw

GREENFIELD – Etta Lee (Cummings) Shaw, age 76, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Franciscan Health Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on November 9, 1948, to David and Mary Jeanette (Gentry) Cummings. She graduated from Arlington High School in Indianapolis in 1966. She married Sidney Lynn Shaw on November 22, 1978. She worked for DFAS and Homeland Security as the Office Manager for 32 years, retiring in 2004. Etta was a member and past secretary of the Busy Bee Home Economics Club. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a talented local artist, and enjoyed crafting, and Christmas was her favorite holiday. Etta is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Sidney Shaw; children, Heather (T.J.) MacDonald of Fountaintown, Rhett (Kelly) Shaw of Greenfield, and Clint Shaw of Greenfield; grandchildren, Dillon, Dalton, Emma, Justin, Jenna, and Allen Shaw, and Niki (John) Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Liam and one on the way; siblings, Sharon Clark of Indianapolis, Dennis (Sharon) Cummings of Van Wert, Ohio, and Tim (Cindy) Cummings of Greenfield; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Dawn Rene Shaw; and sister, Susie Shaw. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Rhett's Residence.
