Larry Dale Holden

GREENFIELD – Larry Dale Holden, age 79, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully Friday, August 22, 2025, at Greenfield Healthcare Center, surrounded by his family. He was born in Shelbyville, on April 16, 1946, to Robert Dale and Betty Lou (Buntz) Holden. He graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1966. He married Vickie Lynn (Boden) Holden on July 3, 1966. He worked for Irving Materials in Indianapolis as a Concrete Truck Driver for 33 years before retiring in 2001. Mr. Holden was a 50 plus year member of Eden Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Teamsters Local #716. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and playing cards. He enjoyed "snow birding" to their place in Frostproof, Florida. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Holden of 59 plus years (he and Vicki had dated since the 4th grade); children, Scotty Dale Holden, Tony (Robin) Holden, and Paul (Jodi) Holden; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Sinisa) Glumac, Aaron (fiancé Haley Cox) Holden, and Zachariah (Jennifer) Holden; great-granddaughters, Iliana, Lillian and Everly; great-grandson, Milan; sister-in-law, Debbie Holden; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Eugene Holden; infant brother, Charles Dewayne Holden; and grandparents, Mary Springer, and Roy and Edna Holden. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow. Pastor Dave Crittenden officiating.
