Eugene J. Ersfeldt

Eugene J. Ersfeldt age 89 of Wheeling, IL formerly of Sacramento, CA passed away on Sunday Nov. 9, 2025 at Addolorata Villa in Wheeling, IL He was born on Aug. 8, 1936 in Amboy, IL the son of Glenn and Mary (Heffron) Ersfeldt. Eugene worked as a Regional Credit Manager for 25 years prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was a graduate of Amboy High School, and St. Ambrose College. Eugene was a member of the Sierra Club and enjoyed playing the fiddle. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother James "Jim" Ersfeldt. Eugene is survived by his siblings William "Bill" Ersfeldt, Nancy Lyons, Roseann Ersfeldt, Edward (Reta) Ersfeldt, three nieces and nephew Bonnie Schuermann, Mindy Hagan, Rebecca Trsar, and Timothy Ersfeldt. Funeral services will be on Friday Nov. 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy
