Eunice Marie Crites passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 80, in her native town of Morgantown, West Virginia. Born on May 26, 1944, to Glenn Thomas and Evelyn Foster Thomas.
Eunice found her lifelong companion in Sonny Crites, whose memory she cherished deeply after his passing. Together, they created a loving family, leaving behind their devoted daughter, Lydia Weeder (Mark Watkins) and their son, Jeff Crites (Dee). Eunice was preceded in death by her son Michael Crites, whose memory held a special place in her heart.
Carrying on her legacy are her brothers Dennis and Paul Thomas, alongside the memories of her treasured siblings Jessie Everly, Vivian Jones, and Dale Thomas who have passed before her. Eunice's spirit of kindness will forever live on through her vibrant grandchildren Amy Blosser (Alton), Amber Sakacsi (Daniel), Brittney Matthews (JB), Chelsea Weeder (Dayton Nalley), and Leah Weeder (Luke Williams), who along with their spouses have filled her life with abundant joy. She was also survived by her great-grandchildren: Austin, Shooter, Gunner, Chloe, Dominic, Lexie, Jayden, and Jax.
A devout attendee of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Eunice's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She was a beacon of kindness, illuminating the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As per her wishes, there will be no services and Eunice will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills cemetery, alongside her beloved husband, Sonny. McCulla Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements. Memories and thoughts can be shared with the family at www.McCulla.com as they remember a life beautifully lived. Eunice Marie Crites will be profoundly missed, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that will resonate for generations.
