Evelyn Rae (Biggs) Mullins passed June 22, 2025 in Midwest City, OK. Evelyn was born on February 14, 1932 in Wayne, OK, the youngest of 6 children. She moved to Oklahoma City in her teens and graduated from Capital Hill High School in 1950. She then went to work for her brother, William Biggs at Southwest Insurance Group. She worked payroll at a nursing home and at Tinker AFB once her children started college. In 1959 she met the love of her life, William (Bill) Mullins. They were married on March 5, 1960 at First Methodist Church of downtown Oklahoma City. They were married for 61 years before his death in 2020. She was also the loving mother of three children, Diane Judy, Michael Mullins, and David Mullins. Evelyn was a dedicated volunteer and a true example of Christian servanthood. She was homeroom mom for all three of her children. She set up a new library in their elementary school, Country Estates. She also was very involved with her church. She taught children's Sunday School, helped serve food at Wednesday night dinners, and served lunch weekly at the Loaves and Fishes bible study for downtown workers. She was a member of the Upper Room Sunday School class and the United Methodist Women's group at First United Methodist Church of Oklahoma City. She was also a member of the National Association of Retired Employees. She loved crafting and sewing all the clothes for her and Diane. She was an example of a Christian woman to all who met her and a great friend to many. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Mullins, Jr., her parents, William Thomas and Ella Viona (Williams) Biggs, her sister Aurelia Spann and four brothers, Eldon Biggs, William Biggs, Hubert Biggs, and Ted Biggs. She is survived by her children, Diane Judy and her husband, Greg, of Hudson Oaks, TX, Michael Mullins and his wife, Traci, of Midwest City, OK and David Mullins of Midwest City, OK, her grandchildren, Larissa Szurek and her husband, Erik, of Chicago, IL, Rachel Mullins-Elliot and her husband, Micah, of Choctaw, OK, Nathan Judy of Arlington, TX, and Andrew Mullins and his wife, Lillian, of Oklahoma City, OK, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at June 28, 2025 from 12pm till 7 pm, with the family present from 5 pm till 7 pm, at Barnes-Friederich and Pope Funeral Home at 305 S. Sooner Rd. in Midwest City, OK The funeral service will be at First Church OKC at 131 NW 4th St., Oklahoma City, OK on Saturday, June 28 at 1:00 pm with burial after the service at Arlington Memorial Gardens at 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made to First Church OKC, 131 NW 4th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73102.
