Farrow Wells Jr. at the age of 86 departed this world to his heavenly home on Monday, August 18,2025. Farrow was born on May 02,1939 to the union of the late Farrow Wells Sr. and Odelia H. Wells in Woodville Mississippi. After the death of his mother, Farrow at the age of 10 was raised by his father and (bonus mother) Augusta Wells.

Farrow accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was baptized by the Rev. W.L. Tucker at Macedonia Baptist Church. Farrow didn't mind praising the Lord and praying for his family all throughout the day. He touched so many lives with generosity, words of wisdom, and love. Farrow was affectionately known as Shorty, Da, Daddy, Pawpaw, Pops, Unk, Nutnah, Superman, Boobie, and Porkchop.

On February 14,1960, he married the late Bessie Lee Smith with whom he had (5) beautiful daughters. Jacqueline, Sheila, Melodie, Theresa, and Francine. He also was the proud father of Anika, Tasia, John, and bonus daughter Diane.

Farrow was very gifted and smart. He was a concrete contractor of Wells Construction for over 50 years. Farrow didn't mine working hard and being a great provider for his family. His wife and children had everything they needed. He may have been a short man, but he was a giant in statue. To know him was to love him!

Farrow Wells Jr leaves to cherish in memories his children: (6) daughters Jacqueline Harness (Carl), Melodie Johnson (Terrence), Anika Riggins (Harold), Theresa Navarre (Ronnie), Tasia Jackson (Shannon), bonus daughter Diane;(1) son: John (Kares) Polk; (12) grandchildren: Carnell Harness (Arieal), Kareem Harness, Gerard Beasley, Ashantae Martin, Terrance Navarre (Ajalae), Taron Navarre Sr. (Sonaj), Shaylah Navarre, Kaileya Polk, Kahron Polk, Farrow Polk, Josiah Jackson, and Ronnie Searls; (5) great grandchildren: DeLante Harness, Kaleigha Navarre, DeAndre Harness, Taron Navarre Jr., and Jhase Beasley; (5) brothers: Richard Wells(Bridget), Arthur Wells Sr. (Vicki), Tommy Wells (Vonna); Herman Wells Sr (Letecia); Derek Wells (Andrea); (7) sisters: Mary Maxon, Elizabeth Toliver, Bessie Anthony, Gloria Toliver, Jeanetta Williams, Augusta Andrews, and Marie Duncan (Feltus); (1) Aunt: Precious Clark; (1) devoted sister-in-law: Lena Wells;(1) brother-in-law: Roosevelt Smith; (1) Godson: Neil Smith; and host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents Farrow Wells Sr., Odelia Wells, and Augusta Wells; his beautiful wife of 62 years Bessie Lee Smith Wells; (2) brothers Theodore Wells Sr. and Herbert Hunter; (3) sisters: Merque Roberts, Lutisha Smith, and Audrey Hunter; (2) daughters : Sheila and Francine Wells; (2) grandsons Carl Harness Jr and Christian Smith;(2) granddaughters Celine Wells and Myrecle Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Greater King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church 3305 Audubon St. New Orleans, LA 70125. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., and the service will be held at 11 a.m. Intermittent at Providence Memorial Park & Mausoleum Metairie, LA.
