Faye Roark Obituary
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Day, Speaker Joe Carpenter, and Speaker Bobby Shore officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 12-2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Roark was born in Ashe County on March 8, 1935 to the late Ira and Laura Powers Gilley. Faye was a member of Sturgill's Baptist Church. She enjoyed working on her word searches, canning, and crocheting dishcloths. Faye was such a caring person, and will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dillard Roark.
She is survived by her sister; Lettie Gilley Carpenter and husband Joe of West Jefferson, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Sturgill's Baptist Church.
The family will be meeting at the home of Lettie Carpenter, 644 Beaver Dr, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
