Felice T. Burns

Felice T. (Loiselle) Burns, 88, Millbury, Mass., passed away at home on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, following a brief illness. She died peacefully in the care of her loving daughter, Donna-Jo Burns.
Felice, born in Worcester on Dec. 14, 1933, was the daughter of George and Agnes (Belanger) Loiselle and grew up on Wall Street on Grafton Hill as part of the city's vibrant French Canadian community. She attended St. Stephen High School.
In 1957, she married the late George F. Burns and the couple made their home in Millbury. George predeceased Felice in 2004 after they had celebrated 47 wonderful years of marriage. She worked for many years for Worcester Knitting Company, the New England Newspaper Supply Company, and Precision Tape & Label Company.
She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of Millbury's St. Brigid's Parish.
Felice is survived by her daughter, Donna-Jo; two brothers, Brother Donald Richard Loiselle, F.M.S. of the Bronx, NY, and Kenneth R. Loiselle of Grafton; and many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. In addition to her husband, George, she was predeceased by her parents and by her siblings: Marie Laplante, Florence Loiselle, Lucille Lajoie, Rev. Joseph Loiselle, Pauline Dwyer, and Richard Loiselle.
In addition to time spent with family and with friends, Felice enjoyed reading, making puzzles, and doing word searches. She will be greatly missed and will be remembered by all for her kindness and for her playful sense of humor.
The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice for the compassionate care it provided in the final weeks of her life.
At Felice's request, there will be no calling hours. Following cremation, a funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Her burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which Felice faithfully supported over the years.
