Fernando Silva was born on May 21, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas to parents Vicente Silva and Maria Machado Silva. He went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. Fernando M. Silva was a husband, father, grandfather, and a true reflection of Christ and God's love. For 60 years, he faithfully loved and cherished his wife, creating a legacy of devotion that will forever inspire us. Their bond was a beautiful testament to the power of commitment and faith. As a father, he raised three wonderful children - two sons and one daughter, whom he lovingly called her the "queen of the house," or as he often said in Spanish, "la reina de la casa". His family was his pride and joy, and he found purpose in guiding them, along with his eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren with wisdom and patience. What truly set him apart was his heart of servanthood. He never sought recognition or praise. Instead, he quietly worked to elevate others, always encouraging them to be their very best. He saw potential where others saw challenges, and he nurtured that potential with love and care. His life was not about promoting himself but about promoting those around him-a rare and beautiful trait. Faithful, loving, and humble, he lived his life in service to God and those he loved. Whether it was through small acts of kindness or simply being present in the lives of his family and friends, he demonstrated what it means to lead by serving. His love, laughter, and wisdom will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. As we say goodbye, we honor his life not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the extraordinary man he was. He showed us the beauty of a life well-lived; a life marked by faith, family, and the selfless love of a true servant. Fernando is survived by his loving wife, Mary Christina Cevallos Silva; sons, Christopher Eric Silva, and Fernando Silva Jr. and wife, Hannah Jane; daughter, Zenida Elizabeth Vasquez and husband, Ralph Jr.; grandchildren, Joseph Michael Fernando Silva, Whitnee Sharie Silva Grays, and husband, Charles Emmitt III, Hillary Lauren Silva and fiancé, Alexander Boyer Rolfes, Savannah Marie Bussey and husband, Christopher Allen, Samuel Benjamin Silva, Naomi Praise Burnam and husband, Charles Alan, Ruth Joy Vasquez, and Allie Grace Vazquez; great grandchildren, Emmit Jordan Grays, Neeya Maraye Grays, Penny Jayne Rolfes, Maya Olivia Bussey, Vivianne Harper Bussey, Christopher Beckham Bussey, and Wyatt Alan Burnam.
