Gerald Joseph Quast, 80, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 6150 Pershing Avenue.
Interment: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
"Jerry" was born October 17, 1944 in St. Cloud, MN to Basilus and Margaret Quast. After high school, he served four years active duty in the United States Air Force, followed by two years in the Reserves. In December 1966, he married the former Brenda Kay Donica at Dyess AFB, Texas. The couple moved to Fort Worth where he worked for General Dynamics (now Lockheed) as an aircraft inspector. After being laid off, he became Custodian/Operations Lead at Holy Family Church and School, a position he held for more that three decades. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and following his beloved Minnesota Vikings. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Judith, and his wife, Brenda.
Survivors: Son, Mark; daughters, Anne and Juliana; brothers, Robert, Richard and Ronald; and sisters, Barbara and Margaret.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to WestAid, 2800 S. Cherry Lane, Suite 106, Fort Worth, TX 76116, the food pantry where he volunteered for many years. ( WestAid.org )
