Fleming G. Gibson, fondly known as "Gibby", 92, of Sugar Land, Texas passed away on June 9, 2025. He was born on November 17, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Fleming G. Gibson and Violet Marie (Elder) Gibson. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 - 1956. Fleming retired from IBM as a Field Engineer after 35 years. Upon his retirement, Fleming found enjoyment in watching Game Shows, tinkering around the house, tending to his flowers and visiting with other former IBM employees. This loving father, grandfather, brother and friend will be missed.
In addition to his parents, Fleming is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ruah (Klinginsmith) Gibson.
Survivors include his daughter, Ruanne Stamps of Columbia, MO and her husband, Terrell; son, Keith Gibson of Katy, TX and his wife, Rebeca; grandchildren, Ransom of Parker, CO, Marilise of Kansas City, MO, Britton Stamps of St. Louis, MO, and Holly Salome Gibson of Katy, TX; brother, David Gibson of Kansas City, KS; sister, Gill Pace of Pensacola, FL; along with extended family and friends.
A service celebrating Fleming's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 16, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church in Sugar Land with Pastor Ken Sinclair officiating.
Expressions of remembrance and condolences are welcome and may be left for the family at www.davisgreenlawnfh.com.
