Frank Carmichael Obituary

Frank loved fishing and had a deep appreciation for music. He enjoyed a good passionate political debate! Frank spent much of his time rebuilding his home, taking pride in the work he accomplished. He retired as a roofer for Custom Exteriors. He had a special bond with his granddaughter Alanna and had a hard time telling her no!
Frank is survived by his loving wife, of 49 years, Linda (Richardson) Carmichael; children, Kenneth (LaShay) Carmichael, Alissa (Beau) Palley; Kevin (Heather) Carmichael, and Matt (Brandy) Carmichael; grandchildren, Jacob, Elijah, Gage, Alanna, Avery, Easton, Rylan, Isaiah, Mason, Bryce, Xavier, Kade, Kane, Chase, Cyrus, Aurora and Dana; one great grandson, Grayson; two sisters, Teke and Rose; and step sister, Christy. He was a beloved nephew to David Stewart, James (Betty) Stewart and Virginia Constant; and was loved by several cousins.
Frank will also be fondly remembered and truly missed by his lifelong best friends, Steve and Jackie Summerlot.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Tommy Steele; his brother, Kenneth Carmichael; and his grandson, Jacob.
Please join us to celebrate Frank's life on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM with a service at 4:30 pm at Carefree Clubhouse, 1202 Leisure Lane, Greenwood, IN.
Arrangements have been entrusted to G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN.
