Frank E. Hutton, age 96, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 9, 2025, on the eve of his 97th birthday. A man of unwavering Christian faith, he lived a life rooted in love, humility, and service. His devotion to God was matched only by his devotion to his beloved wife, Barbara Jean (Boyer) Hutton, with whom he shared 77 years of marriage - a true testament to enduring love and partnership.

He was born June 10, 1928, in Greenfield, IN, to James and Lona Hutton. He was a 1947 graduate of Anderson High School. He married Barbara on May 9, 1948, in Anderson, IN, where they made a home and raised their family. He was a proud member of South Meridian Church of God for over sixty years. Frank was committed to youth ministry in his early years and continued to contribute his time, treasure, and talents to impact his family and community for Christ up until he breathed his last.

Frank was also faithful in his professional life, retiring from Delco Remy in 1994. Frank had a soft spot for loyal furry companions, and alongside Bobbie, he raised six beloved dogs - Rusty, Salty, Chrissy Bell, Bonnie Blue, and Daisy Mae. In the earlier years, Frank and Barb enjoyed camping with church friends and later created many lasting family memories at their lake cottage on Beaver Dam Lake in northern Indiana.

Frank was known for his red Cadillac, which he drove to church on sunny Sunday mornings. He loved working in the yard, fishing, and piloting his pontoon boat. After retirement, he looked forward to early mornings with his buddies at Deluxe Donuts, enjoying a donut, a cup of coffee, and good conversation. Always wearing a cap, he greeted the world with warmth and familiarity, striking up a conversation with anyone he met.

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, love of popcorn, ice cream, donuts, and above all, for his steadfast integrity, and the quiet strength with which he led his family. His legacy of faith, kindness, and commitment will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lona Hutton; brothers, Glen Arthur Hutton, Charles Morris Hutton, James Ervin Hutton; and infant son, David.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean (Boyer) Hutton; daughters, Rebecca George and Connie (Greg) Nealis of Anderson; grandchildren, Chanda George-Hiatt of Summitville, Charity (Richard) Harvey of Chesterfield, Leslie Nealis of Lapel, and Chris (Christine) Nealis of Anderson; great-grandchildren, Hunter (Jayde) Hiatt of Charlestown, Aaliyah Hardy and Elasha Hardy of Lapel, Haiden Hiatt of Kokomo, Harrison Hiatt of Indianapolis, Dae’la Nunn of Lapel, Iva and Adalia Harvey of Chesterfield, and Austin, Finn and Lowen Nealis of Anderson; great-great-grandchildren, Grace and Granger Hiatt of Charlestown, and Vegas Thomas of Lapel; along with several nieces and nephews.

Family, friends, and all whose lives Frank touched are invited to Connection Pointe Church, 2702 W 38th St, Anderson, IN 46011, on Monday, June 16, 2025. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton, IN.
