Frank Stern Pulkrabek, age 84, of Temple went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2024, with his family by his side at his residence. Frank was born on the 2nd day of May 1940 in Taylor, TX to parents Frank Rudolph Pulkrabek and Rose Ann Stern.
Frank was raised in Taylor and graduated from Taylor High School. He went to Southwestern University in Georgetown TX. During the Vietnam war Frank served in the Unites States Air Force Reserves. Frank met the love of his life Marietta Smith, and they were married in the year 1965 in Mexia, TX. They moved to different areas in Texas. The couple would go on to bless their family with one daughter, Margaret. When they relocated to the Friendswood area in 1974, it was the ideal location for them to raise their daughter. They would live there for most of their lives.
Frank worked at Alvin Community College as an accountant for over 31 years. He also enjoyed being a HAM operator for many years as well. He had a very good work ethic and his devotion to his family and church was an important part of his life. In his spare time Frank loved listening to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and reading his bible. Frank also enjoyed talking on his HAM radio and watching television. Frank will be deeply missed by many friends and family.
Frank and his family decided to move to Temple about a year ago to take care of his cousin who was ill.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Marietta Pulkrabek.
Frank leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter Margaret Whittington and husband Larry and granddaughter Jessica Whittington both of Temple.
A funeral service for Frank will be held at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 12:00 PM. Following the service, Frank will be buried in Taylor City Cemetery.
