Frank Ziyu Wang

Frank (Frankie) Ziyu Wang, age 21, unexpectedly flew out of the mortal realm early Friday morning, April 7, 2023, like a Naruto character. A service celebrating his life was held at the Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel on Sunday, April 16.
Frankie was one of the biggest babies born in National University Hospital in Singapore and at age one moved to Minnesota with his family, where he grew up in Shoreview. Frankie attended Turtle Lake Elementary School, Chippewa Middle School, and graduated from Mounds View High School in 2019. His talents ranged from playing saxophone and producing house music to origami and parkour. His father never missed a game of Frankie's varsity football career. He was en route to graduate from UW Madison in May (double major in physics and economics and certificate in mathematics, member of physics club, Engineering Business and Entrepreneurship Club, and anonymous peer-to-peer group Badger SPILL) and head to NYC for a graduate program in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. His older sister Clara was helping him plan a summer trip to Southeast Asia.
Frankie- soundcloud producer name ziyu- always ordered pho #66 at Thanh Vi, went to 3 Playboy Carti concerts in 5 years, often ate 40 chicken nuggets in one sitting, and was in such good shape he couldn't keep his shirt on in photos. He shared a diehard love of the Vikings with his father but once secretly wore a Packers jersey. He respected Tom Brady and J. Cole, loved Aaron Rodgers and dancing to a hard beat, and was the cornerstone of every friend group.
