Franklin Dale (Rocky) Stitt, Jr. age 67 of Malvern passed away Wednesday November 20, 2024 at his home. He was born September 8, 1957 in Bridgeport, Connecticut the son of Franklin and Patsy Ann Humphrey Stitt Sr. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, had most recently worked at Malvern School District for 20years until his health caused him to retire. He was a member of the Bethel AME Church in Malvern, and Saint Luke Masonic Lodge #23 in Malvern. Rocky loved to ride his motorcycle when he was able, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father, James Delamar; grandparents, William and Maggie Delamar and Gladys Stokes and Buford Humphrey, and brother, Willie Arnett Watkins.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 40 years, Helen Watkins Stitt, son, Derek Watkins (Frankie) of Jarrell, Tx.; special daughter, Bridget Henderson Boston, her children and grandchildren of Jacksonville, AR; brothers, Whitney Watkins (Lena) and Anthony Watkins (Robin) all of Malvern, sister, Teresa Mitchell, four grandchildren, Fredereck Watkins, Kiya Mitchell, Kathlyn Watkins, and Ariel Watkins, greatgrandchild Makiai Bowman and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th, from 11am – 1pm at Regency Funeral Home, with the funeral service starting at 1pm, with Rev. John Hill as Eulogist. Burial to follow at Perla Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Andre Tuggle, Anthony Watkins Jr., Jack Collins, Henry Abbey, Kenneth Watson, Derrick Hogan, and Eric Hogan. Honorary pallbearers are Doyle McClellan, Dewy Richardson, Anthony Watkins, Whitney Watkins, Derek Watkins, and Antwan Watkins.
A special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, Arbor Oaks, and NPMC doctors, nurses and staff for all the love and cared they showed Rocky.
