Latham – Frederick A. Van De Bogart, 51 passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Fred was born in Amsterdam, NY on August 13, 1974.

He attended Amsterdam high school and graduated from Duanesburg high school. While in school he was on the wrestling team which he really enjoyed and lent to his love later in life for professional wrestling.

Fred worked for CDPHP for over 17 years as the Director of Medicare Sales, which is where he met his partner of many years, Jennifer. He was a member of the American Legion and spent time on the board of directors at the Montgomery County Office of the Ageing. Fred also enjoyed golfing, gambling, and watching his favorite football team, the NY Giants.

He was predeceased by his beloved grandmother Thelma Saj. Fred is survived by his long term partner Jennifer Bohl, his children Noelle Van De Bogart-Gonzalez, and Austin (Madisson) Van De Bogart-Gonzalez and their brother Hector “Andy” Gonzalez, his parents Allan “Fred” and Donna Van De Bogart, his sister Brennan (Bryan) Bradshaw and her children Kayleigh, Christian and Michael, his sister in law Jessica (Matthew) Bohl, the Chiofalo family, which was like a second family to Fred, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation with Fred’s family will be held on Saturday December 6, 2025 from 10 am to 1 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Legion in Amsterdam, 123 W Main St, Amsterdam, NY 12010 or the Montgomery County Office of the Ageing, 135 Guy Park Avenue Amsterdam NY 12010.
