Freda Sue Inda, aged 89, passed away on September 7, 2024, in Bradenton, Florida. Born on August 30, 1935, Freda lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and a deep love for her family and community.
Freda's career as a school nurse was a testament to her nurturing spirit, having graduated from Oklahoma University with a degree in nursing. Her commitment to the well-being of children was evident throughout her many years of service in schools. A passionate supporter of Sooner football, Freda was a familiar face at many University of Oklahoma games, her enthusiasm for her team as unwavering as her dedication to her profession.
Aside from her professional life, Freda cherished the tranquility of Florida's beaches in her later years, where she enjoyed bird watching and shell hunting. She loved her home on Harbour Isle on Anna Maria Sound, where she was loved organizing monthly event-themed pool events for her many resident friends. Her earlier years were spent on a farm in rural Oklahoma, engaging deeply with the land and livestock. She had a particular fondness for a Brahma bull named "Nasty," which she raised from a calf. Freda also expressed her artistic side through painting, a hobby that brought her much joy and peace. Later in life, she purchased and regularly drove a 1961 Fiat Bianchina mini car, the exact model she had in college.
Freda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Edward Inda; her mother, Irela Dorothy Cummins, and her father, Harry Schreiner. She leaves behind a loving family her son, Kevin Inda, daughter-in-law, Jeannine, her daughter, Suzy Korinek, son-in-law, Kurt. Freda loved her two beautiful granddaughters, Olivia Grace Inda and Bailey Inda Korinek.
Freda's life was a beautiful illustration of love and selflessness, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her kindness and warmth. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209, is in charge of arrangements.
