Frederick B. (Fred) Caddell, III, 60, of Hahira, died on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at his residence. He was born on November 8, 1962, in Atlanta, Georgia to Fred Caddell, Jr., and the late Linda Caddell Willard Chase. Fred retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant and was a flight engineer on C-5A aircraft. Fred earned his undergraduate degree from Emory Riddle in professional aeronautics, and his Master's degree from Webster University in Webster, Missouri. Fred helped his mother immensely with her dance studio and in her local production of the Nutcracker for 40 years. He was also a huge animal lover and was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his father, Fred Caddell, Jr., of Hahira; two uncles and an aunt, Dave Willard and Charles P. and Kathleen Caddell all of Jacksonville, Florida; his aunt and uncle, Cathy and John Lister of Tampa, Florida; cousins, Davie Willard, Tim Willard, Ashely Caddell, Parker Caddell, Mike and Carrie Carr, J.L. Lister, Wade Lister, Carrie Ann DeJose, and Ryan and Kim Carr. Fred was preceded by his mother, Linda Caddell Chase, and his sister, Melinda Caddell, and his very good friend, Jesse Courson.
A memorial service for Frederick B. Caddell, III, will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. David Tart officiating. The burial of cremains will take place at a later date in Jacksonville, Florida. The family will receive friends from 11-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
