Gale Ann Anthony (née Allen), affectionately known as "Duck Lady" passed away on Wednesday July 9, 2025, at the age of 72.
Born on October 27, 1952, in Royal Oak, the cherished daughter of William Allen and Frances Frato.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Gale is survived by her beloved children, Wendy (John) Athanasiou, Angela (John) Siecinski, Sam (Shannon) Galia, and Michelle (Mike Hinkley) Landry.
Her love and lessons will live on through her 12 grandchildren, Amber (Chris) Schlagel, Krystina Skwierc, Jordan Skwierc (Kassie Stockdale), Maggie Siecinski (Jakob Carter), Laura Siecinski, Zoey Galia, Michael Galia, Chance Landry, Amber (Logan) Gordon, Christopher (Tabitha) Gordon, Evelyn Landry, and Lilly Hinkley, as well as her 8 great-grandchildren, Ethan Schlagel, Alleighcia, Reighlen, Calloway, Rylie, Khloe, Hayden, and Jenaleigh.
Gale is also survived by her siblings, Renay Frato, Robin (Stu) Frato-Shuell, Roxanne Johnson, and Candi (Clyde) Gifford
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Frances, and her brother, Mark (Sherry) Frato.
Throughout her life, Gale was heavily involved in the Algonac community. She served as the secretary for the First Evangelical Lutheran Church for many years until her retirement, touching the lives of many who attended her church. Gale's commitment to her community was further demonstrated through her roles on the Algonac Planning Commission, the Algonac Alive Committee, and was a part of arranging the community supper.
Most of all Gale loved being around her family, and some of her favorite pastimes included making Christmas ornaments with her grandchildren. She also had a passion for arts and crafts, with a particular talent for painting, which brought her joy.
Gale's love and commitment to her family and her community will be remembered by all who knew her. As we say goodbye, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman dearly loved.
A celebration of Gale's life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11:30am at 1625 Washington Street, Algonac, Michigan 48001.
