Gary Lynn Franks, 71, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born in Batesville, Mississippi on February 11th of 1954.
Gary was a very loved man and known by so many. He retired as a dental technician to which he worked for many years. He made the ultimate sacrifice and served his country in the United States Navy for about 4 years. Gary loved to shoot pool with his friends and grand kids. He played HS basketball and was one of the best players on the team. He enjoyed most of his time with his family who he loved deeply. He enjoyed sitting on the front porch, watching a sunset. He was a friend to all and would never meet a stranger. Gary will be missed by all those who knew and cherished him.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Franks (Sissy); sons, Chad Franks and Patrick Marshall; daughters, Brandie Hall (Wes) and Crystal McEwen (Matt); grandchildren, Anthony, Amanda, Joe, Cory, Cameron, Dalton, Nate, Keegan, Caleb, Ashley, Kevin, Dylan, Devon, Chad Junior, Steven, Lawson, Angelina, and Alaina; great- grandchildren, Hudson McEwen, Hallie Smith, and Landry Smith; and his step children, Jeremy, Micki, and Pepper.
